Family Videos
Over the years me, and various family members, have made various 16 mm, 8mm, VHS and digital home movies. These were stardardized into all digital formats and pieced together into 6 videos for posting on this web site to serve as an element of our family history and part of the personal inheritance that I wanted to leave to my family.
These web site videos represent only part of our family history, as other elements are included in family photo albums, poetry books, music compositions, personal journals and other personal inheritance items.
Being amateur videos, and not having been being professionally edited, they aren't of the greatest digital quality. They also may not be in perfect chronological order, may be mislabeled or misnamed as to place, time and subject. They are what they are and the best that I could do under the circumstances.

A brief description of the contents of these 6 videos are as follows:
(1) Family Home Videos: The videos start in the 1940's with my grandparents and mother and father, aunts and uncles and oldest cousin. Then enter me and my brother and sisters, other cousins, in-laws and nieces and nephews. They also include neighbors and friends.
(2) 6 DVD Series of my Immediate Family: This series is a study of our family: Vi, Leandra, Kerry and me, covering 26 years of our lives from 1987 to 2013 during Leandra and Kerry's ages 1 to 27.
(3) Navy Days: These videos cover my 4 years as an active duty Naval officer and 6 years as a reserve officer in both the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets all of which was during the gruesome Vietnam War. The videos cover the years 1964 to 1973 and the ranks of Ensign through to Lieutenant Commander, when I left the Navy.
(4) Early Travels: These videos relate to the travels I took primarily when I was young, single and more adventurous and includes trips through parts or most of Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, Mexico, South America and Africa. They do not include Alaska and Canada, but the the family photo album does.
(5) Camping and Trips: These videos relate to the camping, sailing and road trips to various places that Vi and I took in our earlier years mostly by ourselves but in some cases with other family members. Our international vacation trips in our later years were not video recorded, but rather are represented in our family photo albums.
(6) 911 Attack: This video relates to the 911 tragedy in New York on September 11, 2001, where approximately 3,000 Americans were killed. The video was given to me by my sister Christine. 911 affected all of us deeply. I lost a number of personal friends. My brother, Eric, was more affected, as he was on the scene as a New York City first responder firefighter where 350 of his fellow firemen were killed, many of whom he knew personally and attended their funeral services. My cousin Jack Hackett was a New York City police officer, and also on the scene.
